Strongly Endorsing Sarah Aadland
I’m writing to strongly endorse Sarah Aadland for Chisago Lakes School Board. She is not simply a good choice; she is the choice for the school board. There are so many notable reasons to vote for Sarah on November 7th, but here are just a few.
As having stepped up to the call twice, Sarah has two years of experience already serving on the board. She is a life-long learner and has used those two years to increase her knowledge of district finances, policies, and history by attending every relevant training offered by the Minnesota School Board Association. I’ve personally known Sarah and her family for over a decade and have seen first-hand her parental involvement in our schools. She doesn’t just talk about parents’ participation in schools, she has actively become a partner in her children’s education by volunteering at every level and in every way: TFE Parents for Education, booster clubs, creating and running the TFE “Kindness Club” to help all kids help one another, and (in her spare time), creating service-learning material for “Doing Good Together,” a Minnesota non-profit for students interested in making a positive difference in our community.
Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Economics from Concordia College and an MA from the prestigious UM - Humphrey School of Public Affairs; she possesses both the strategic problem-solving skills and a listening ear to work collaboratively with her fellow board members.
Get to know more about Sarah by checking out her website: Aadland4Education.com or attending the upcoming “Meet and Greet with Sarah” next Monday, October 9th, 5:00-7:00 PM, at the Chisago County Library. Become knowledgeable about the candidates before you vote. That vote matters to our community, to our schools, and most importantly, to our kids.
